Former ASU Marketing Director to join Northwest Sports & Entertainment

Heather Morris, former Marketing & Promotions Director at the Arizona State Athletic Department, has joined Northwest Sports & Entertainment as the Vice President of Sales & Marketing.

Prior to Northwest Sports, Morris spent 3 years at Arizona State overseeing the marketing and promotional efforts of all 19 sport teams. Morris created and executed the marketing and advertising campaigns for the football and men’s and women’s basketball teams. She was instrumental in the AstraZeneca Hoops for the Cure Classic, the first ever outdoor NCAA women’s basketball game vs. Tennessee in Bank One Ballpark that broke ASU and Pac-10 game attendance records and raised funds for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

Prior to ASU, Morris was the Assistant Director of Marketing & Promotions at the University of Arizona from 1997-1999 and at the United States Military Academy, West Point from 1996-1997.

Morris received her Master’s Degree in Sport Management in 1996 from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst where she was the graduate assistant for Dr. William A. Sutton, a world renowned pioneer in the field of sports marketing & sports marketing research.

She received her Bachelor’s of Business Administration Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1992 where she competed for the women’s swim team.

At Northwest Sports & Entertainment, Morris will be responsible for selling all available inventory and writing and executing the marketing plans for all Northwest Sports events, including the Comcast Battle in Seattle presented by Great Floors, the Cougar Hardwood Classic presented by your Northwest Dodge Dealers and the Dan Dickau Charity Classic. Morris will also assist Northwest Sports in securing additional events for the future.
