Scott Worden, the US Airways Center and Phoenix Suns Director of Group Sales, has left the Suns to join Northwest Sports & Entertainment as the Vice President of Sales & Business Development.
Scott has spent the past 6 years at Suns Legacy Partners LLC overseeing group sales efforts for over 150 event dates per year for US Airways Center, Dodge Theatre, and Chase Field. Events include Phoenix Suns, Phoenix Mercury (WNBA), Phoenix RoadRunnners (ECHL), Disney on Ice, Barnum & Bailey Circus, WWE, Stars on Ice, monster trucks, motor cross and music concerts. Scott consistently ranked at the top of the group ticket sales departments for arena and sporting events (third in country for NBA, second in country for WNBA). He created several “NBA & WNBA best practice” programs including Jr. Suns program, Faith and Family Nights, and school programs.
Prior to coming to Phoenix, Scott spent 3 years with Maloof Sports & Entertainment in Sacramento and 2 years with the Forest Dragons in Portland, Oregon.
Scott received his Marketing and Management Bachelors degree in 1995 from the University of Oregon.
At Northwest Sports & Entertainment, Scott will be responsible for selling all available ticket inventories while initiating new group ticket programs for fans and sponsors. Other duties will include developing and executing marketing plans for all Northwest Sports events, including the Comcast Battle in Seattle, the Cougar Hardwood Classic, Santa Slam, Dan Dickau Celebrity Poker Tournament, and the Spokane All-Americans Charity Classic. Scott will also assist Northwest Sports in securing additional events for the future.
On November 27, 2004 Scott married Jennifer a finance professional from Atlanta, GA. The Worden’s become parents with the arrival of Sophie Reese on March 28, 2007.
