Through a partnership with the Arizona Sports and Tourism Authority, along with Global Spectrum, Northwest Sports & Entertainment will announce the first ever basketball event at the University of Phoenix Stadium. Promoter, Northwest Sports Director John A. Hines, will introduce Arizona Sports and Tourism Authority President/CEO Ted Ferris, Arizona State University Athletic Director Lisa Love (tentative) and Head Men’s coach Herb Sendek, Brigham Young University Associate Athletic Director, Brian Santiago, and Head Men’s Coach Dave Rose during a press conference thisFriday, March 28th, at 10:30 A.M. PST, at the University of Phoenix Stadium. Following the press conference a short tour of the Stadium will be made available to media and guests.
Details of the doubleheader event will be made public, including the announcement of two other teams from the Big East and Big 10 conferences. University of Phoenix Stadium, home to Super Bowl 42 and the NFL’s Arizona Cardinals, will utilize the tournament as one of the required steps to hosting a future NCAA Final Four. The Stadium has already been awarded the 2009 NCAA Division 1 Men’s West Regional’s.

Media should park in the West Parking Lot off of 95th Avenue and enter the stadium through the Media Entrance near Gate 1. Shuttle Bus for Media staying in NCAA media hotel (Downtown Phoenix Hyatt) will leave at 10:00 A.M. and return immediately following conference and stadium tour.
