Northwest Sports & Entertainment is pleased to announce the hiring of two new employees, Millie Pavey and Adam Baker.
Millie has accepted the position of Partnership Activation Specialist.
Millie received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sport Management with a Minor in Communication from Washington State University in May of 2007. Following graduation Millie completed an internship with NWS working under Director John Hines. Upon conclusion of her internship, Millie returned home to the Northwest to work in Sales as an Account Executive in Portland, OR. When the position of Partnership Activation Specialist became available, Millie was looked upon as the ideal candidate. Both NWS and Millie are excited for her return to the company.
At Northwest Sports & Entertainment, Millie will be responsible for locating and establishing marketing partners. Other duties will include maintaining partnerships and contributing to marketing plans for all Northwest Sports events, including the Comcast Battle in Seattle, the Cougar Hardwood Classic, Santa Slam, Dan Dickau Celebrity Poker Tournament, and the Spokane All-Americans Charity Classic.
Adam has accepted the position of Director of Corporate Communications.
Adam received his Interdisciplinary Studies Bachelors degree in May of 2008 from Arizona State University. In the past, he worked in the media relations department for the Phoenix Suns and for XTRA Sports 910 a.m. While with the Suns, Adam worked directly with print and broadcast media members acting as a liaison for the team and the media. During his time at XTRA Sports 910 a.m. he worked as a technical director, operating both local and national radio shows.
At Northwest Sports & Entertainment, Adam will be responsible for conducting public relations activities for all Northwest Sports events. He will work with both media and the institutions involved in the events, overseeing distribution of press releases and other publicity related areas contributing to company’s corporate image.
