First Ever Free Youth Basketball Tournament Wraps

Phoenix, Ariz. –Idol Sports & Entertainment launched a successful test market event by hosting more than 220 youth basketball teams in their first annual Invitational Basketball Series, June 18-20th in Phoenix area.

As tournament fees increasingly cost upwards of $500, the Invitational Basketball Series offered the unique appeal of free registration and waived all tournament fees for all participating teams. With a no entry fee event, boys and girls ages 9-17 and their families got a chance to enjoy a weekend get-away while allowing the opportunity to play competitive basketball in local high schools across the valley.

The invitational attracted not only teams from Arizona, but more than 100 teams who traveled from California, Nevada, New Mexico, Colorado, Texas and Georgia.  With 2200 players and more than 5000 fans, the event attracted more than 1000 hotel room nights for the phoenix area and created an economic impact to the region of approximately $250,000.
