In a survey conducted by Northwest Sports & Entertainment, schedulers report that an average of 19.7% of their time is taken up by scheduling. Results also show that 4.2% of a head coach’s time is spent on scheduling.
60.7% of schedulers concluded that they schedule 2-5 years in advance, leaving 39.3% who focus only on the upcoming season’s schedule.
In addition to time spent on scheduling, coaches reported an average guarantee of $67,371 received for playing road games. Results show an average guarantee of $55,564 given out for home games.
