In a survey conducted by Northwest Sports & Entertainment, schedulers report that an average of 22.0% of their time is taken up by scheduling. Results also show that 5.86% of a head coach’s time is spent on scheduling.
62.1% of schedulers concluded that they schedule 2-5 years in advance, leaving 37.9% who focus only on the upcoming season’s schedule.
In addition to time spent on scheduling, coaches reported an average guarantee of $10,083 received for playing road games. Results show an average guarantee of $10,357 given out for home games.
